WHAT IS CBD?
CBD is short for cannabidiol (ka-nə-bə-ˈdī-ˌȯl) and is a naturally occurring compound found in the flower of cannabis, a plant with a rich history in medicine and utility dating back thousands of years.  CBD is a safe, legal, non-addictive substance.

CBD is related to another important medicinally active phytocannabinoid: THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) which is the compound that causes the high that cannabis is more generally known for.  CBD and THC are the two components are the most studied by scientists at this stage.

ABLE’s CBD products contain CBD with zero percent THC.  CBD has been shown to have significant therapeutic attributes, and CBD does not make a person feel “stoned” or intoxicated.  CBD is not mind-altering. This is because CBD and THC act in different ways on different receptors in the brain and throughout the body, which you can find more about in the “learn” portion of our website.

IS CBD LEGAL?

Yes!  CBD oil with ZERO THC is legal to sell across all 50 of the United States without any risk.  ABLE CBD is derived from industrial hemp and has been crafted to contain ZERO THC.  Our hemp is currently sourced directly through the guidelines of the Kentucky Department of Agricultural Industrial Hemp Pilot Program.

DO ABLE PRODUCTS CONTAIN THC?

None of our CBD products contain THC as verified by our third-party lab testing partners.  0% THC, guaranteed and we publish our third-party test certificates for each ABLE product which you can find alongside each product in our product pages.

HOW MUCH CBD SHOULD I TAKE?

When it comes to CBD, there is one universal truth to keep in mind: EVERYONE is different. Variables such as weight, diet, metabolism, genetics, environment, product consistency, and more make it difficult if not impossible to prescribe a universal dosage.  As a result there is no recommended daily allowance (RDA) or universal dose for all people.

Considering these facts, most people who are new to CBD begin with the minimal suggested dosage on any product and then gradually increase the dose until they achieve the desired results.  The (COR) Serving Standard is 25mg of CBD, taken twice daily.  This would equate to about 1.5 droppers of our 500mg Able CBD Oil daily depending on your specific size and needs.

We suggest increasing the amount of CBD you take every 3-4 weeks until you attain symptom relief.  Decrease by 25mg if symptoms worsen or your situation allows.

Dr. David Casarett suggested that his biggest finding in studying the use of CBD/cannabinoids is that “CBD gives those with ailments control in their ailments. CBD lets them manage their health in a way that is productive and efficient and effective for them, individually and allows those with chronic ailments to manage their own quality of life.”

WILL CBD SHOW UP ON A DRUG TEST?
Most drug tests check for the presence of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Properly sourced CBD oil contains less than 0.3% THC, which is a trace amount. For that reason, it is unlikely for CBD oil to show up on a drug test. However, the results of a drug test cannot be promised.  You should contact the tester to obtain detailed information about what they’re testing.

CAN CBD GET YOU HIGH?

ABLE uses only Kentucky grown, industrial hemp-derived, non-THC CBD oil which will not get you high.  Our hemp is completely different to hemp that contains THC. In addition our products come with third-party certificates to confirm they contain ZERO THC, guaranteed.

ZERO THC CBD is non mind altering and will not produce any psychoactive effects.

DOES CBD OIL HAVE SIDE EFFECTS?

Research on CBD is ongoing, but the reported side effects of CBD oil are minor. When taken in ridiculously high quantities, some have reported slight drowsiness while others have reported minor stomach discomfort.

IS CBD HARMFUL?
In Dec 2017, the World Health Organization reported that CBD “Is not harmful and there are no public health problems associated with the use of pure CBD” suggesting it has little potential for abuse.

Additionally, in 2018, The World Doping Agency removed CBD from its list of banned substances.

IS ABLE HEMP GROWN IN THE USA?

You bet it is!

We source our products right here in America with the Kentucky Farm Collective.  This is due to the detailed quality of the hemp plants being grown under the Federal Farm Bill and in conjunction with the Kentucky Agricultural Department Hemp Pilot Program.

WHAT IS ABLE’S EXTRACTION METHOD?

The highest standard of extraction is through a safe and clean CO2 process, which is what we use.  It is complex and a tad more expensive but it is the very best method.  There are several other ways to extract CBD oil from hemp but many of those processes use harsh chemicals that can be difficult to remove from the final product, while others compromise the integrity of the hemp and oil.

IS ABLE THIRD PARTY TESTED?
Yes, absolutely!
We provide a certificate of analysis (COA) for each product type at each manufacturing stage.  This is a report that confirms the levels of CBD, THC, and other compounds in a CBD product. This report will ensure that you are receiving a pure product that contains exactly what is on the label.  This is an added step in our supply chain to help confirm the purity and potency of every ABLE product.

IS CBD LEGAL IN MY STATE?

The 2018 Farm Bill removed hemp from the banned substance list and all our products are harvested in strict adherence to federally regulated test programs in Kentucky, USA.  ABLE’S CBD products are legal to be sold in all 50 states without any risk as they’re free of THC.

IS CBD ADDICTIVE?

In Jan 2018 The World Doping Agency removed CBD from its prohibited substances list.

IS HEMP A SUPERCROP?

Data supports that hemp is the miracle crop that can help positively effect industrial economies and help to redirect our planet. Hemp can play a pivotal role in just about every industry; in addition to wellness, hemp is capable of providing food, fuel, clothes, cars, construction materials, consumer products, and paper (amongst much more).

Hemp is also the future of cleaning C02 from our air and is one large contributor to reducing our carbon footprint.

HEMP IN THE ENVIRONMENT

Hemp removes 1.63 tons of CO2 per ton of hemp.  In 2016 alone, Colorado has planted over 8,700 acres of the industrial hemp crop, resulting in an average of 10 tons per acre of carbon dioxide being removed from our atmosphere.

WHAT ARE OTHER ENVIRONMENTAL HEMP BENEFITS?

Lower Carbon Emissions. Utilizing hemp to create biochemicals, biofuels, bioplastics and construction materials reduces our carbon footprint and our dependence on foreign petroleum products. Hemp can be used to clean the soil. It’s also a fibrous mediator so it also leaves the ground better than it found it so it’s great for rejuvenating soil.

Forest Cover and Biodiversity. Currently 95% of paper is made from wood pulp, but hemp is far more sustainable and can be recycled twice as much as wood pulp. It can produce 3-4 times as much fiber per acre as trees. It can reduce the rate of old growth deforestation which in turn protects our greatest concentrations of biodiversity.

No Pesticide or Herbicide Required. Hemp can grow organically almost anywhere. Hemp cultivation reduces our dependence on these chemicals which are harmful to humans. Research has found that hemp has a favorable influence on soil composition, crop rotation, water resources and environmental pollutants.

Reduced Water Use.  Hemp can potentially use a fraction of the water required to produce corn and other crops

Hemp improves water quality of an area. Huge underground aquifers – the only source of fresh water in some regions are being depleted in China, India, the Middle East, the United States, and elsewhere at a faster rate than people realize. What is left, is rapidly becoming polluted. Amphibians, the bellwethers of air and water quality, are disappearing from their habitats across the globe.

Hemp yields four times more fiber per acre than trees do.  Although hemp can greatly reduce the need to cut down trees, it cannot replace forests. Both are needed. Forests worldwide are being cut down at a faster rate than they can regrow, including ancient forests whose gifts cannot be recovered.

Hemp’s deep root system prevents soil erosion. Approximately 6 pounds of topsoil washes away into rivers and oceans for every pound of food produced in the United States alone.

Claims: although there is research that supports the benefits of CBD, we cannot make medical claims about CBD oil. If a wholesale company makes any health claims about their product, be aware that these claims are not supported by the FDA. The FDA’s disclaimer should be visible on the website.
